Introduction of Japanese food that can be easily cooked.
Niku Jaga (Simmered meat and potatoes)
Ingredient (two servings) 200 gram thinly sliced beef 4 small potatos 1 llarge carrot 1/2 large onion 1/2 pack Japanese itokonjac (string type konjac) 40 gram peas 2 half cups dashi soup (Japanese KATSUO DASHI) 3 tablespoons sugar 3 tablespoons soy sauce (Japanese SYOYU) 1 teaspoon cooking oil or olive oil Preparation Potato is cut to 4-6 pieces. Soak in water. Cut carrot into bit pieces. Cut onion into pieces smaller than the potatos. Cut itokonyaku and beef into a easy to eat size. Peas are boiled. Boil itoKonjac for 2 minutes and drain off. How to cook. (1) Heat oil in pan. Lightly brown meat. (2) Do not cook meat completely. Add onions, itokonjac, potatoes and carrots. (3) And add dashi soup, sugar and soy sauce. (4) When these boilsed down, reduce heat. And add peas. (5) Skim the scum that may foam to the top. Dashi soup Ingredients 10 cm square of dried kelp. 15 gram katsuobushi(slice dried bonito). 3 cups of water. How to cook. Wipe surface of Kelp and put into pot with water, heat them on middle heat. Remove kelp when kelp comes up on surface. Just before coming to a boil add katsuobushi, after 5 seconds turn off heat. Prepare strainer covered with thin cloth on top. Instant dashi soup If you have no time, use packet or instant soup stock. There are powder of dried bonito, konbu and niboshi in the acket. Put the packet in pan and pour water and heat. As soon as water comes to boil, turn off heat. |
